JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A House subcommittee charged with investigating allegations of harassment within the Missouri Department of Corrections will hold its first public hearing on February 9. Chaired by state Rep. Jim Hansen, the committee was formed by House Speaker Todd Richardson to examine the workplace environment within the department.
The committee will hear testimony from the Department of Corrections’ Acting Director Anne Precythe.
“I would like to thank Speaker Richardson for appointing me as chairman of this committee,” said Hansen, R- Frankford. “We are ready to get to work to look closely at the issues that the Department of Corrections is facing. It is important that we ensure a safe working environment for all Missouri employees.”
